I made this project to explore the possibilities of 3D and splines in Webflow, and its potential for future work. I was eager to try out interactions, especially considering how the 3D program is designed for websites. For this project, I chose a cute cherry character that I often use in my personal work as the model and theme.
I tried spline.design for the first time, and it was fun to learn! The program is similar to Blender, 3DS Max, and other online 3D tools. You can use ready-made shapes or a pen tool to create your 3D objects. What I like, and is not found in many other programs, is the effects panel. It might take some trial and error, but once you figure it out, it's fun!
I definitely see the benefits of this process, especially for those who want to quickly add 3D objects to their Webflow sites. I like how you can edit the 3D object in the program and it automatically updates in Webflow!
