We’ve been tasked to brand a podcast that will shine a spotlight on the vibrant and diverse businesses of Chicago. Hosted by Ted, one of the partners at Clique, the podcast is designed to showcase the hidden gems of the Chicago business community—those businesses you may not have heard of, or never fully understood what they do. The overall branding should reflect both Ted’s quirky and chic personality and the entrepreneurial spirit of Chicago. The tone should be playful and sophisticated, with a distinctive nod to the city’s energy—think stars, not pizza. Our goal is to create a suite of assets that deliver a cohesive visual identity across all platforms, from social media to web presence, while maintaining a professional yet approachable vibe.

Branding Process

We kicked off with a creative brainstorming and co-design session to define Ted’s personal brand. The aim was to craft a bold, unique logo that captures his upbeat, approachable, yet professional tone, infused with Chicago-centric visuals—all while ensuring the podcast remains clearly distinct from TED Talks.

Once the foundational logo and branding were set, the focus shifted to expanding the visual identity with additional assets. This included social media templates, video bumpers, and more, all designed to feel fresh, vibrant, and reflective of Chicago’s dynamic business landscape. We worked to create a cohesive package that didn’t just represent Ted’s podcast but also celebrated the city’s entrepreneurial “pulse”.
